Why is it that some foods, e.g. cheese, that are labeled fat free, have fat in them if you look on the indgredients list. Isn't it false advertising to label a food fat free when there is indeed fat in there?
i would think it is. are you sure? Id complain to the store. Sometimes foods are labeled 99% fat free. but these foods are usually no healthier as they contain much more sugars.
Some laws in some states or provinces and or countries, say that there has to be a maximum of so many mg's or grams and it can be labeled as fat free.
To fool us even more the companies lower the fat content but on the other hand pour in different types of sugars, they call it fat free but then it is even more calories than the fat would have given us.
Go figure.
