I was wondering how much fat you have to have in your diet. Some days i only get 20 grams or less. Yesterday it was 22, some days it has been lower. Do i need to be getting more fats? My protein intake is very high, close to 200 grams per day. I weight about 215 lbs. Also, if i need more fat in my diet, when is the best time for the fat? morning? afternoon? night?

There is not one simple answer to your question. I would say based on the limited info that 20 grams is abit low. That is about what I get and I am a 128 pd. female! It depends on your goal (gain?lose?competing), training schedule. What % of your whole diet is fat calories?

Everyone has an opinion. You have to find what workks for you. 10 % is low. I think I would try increasing it to 15% of your total calories if you put on fat go back to what you are doing. I stay between 15-20% during my gain muscle but not fat regime. My current trainer suggested
20% carb 50% protein 30% fat. Personally I have a hard time with that much fat I found that my body perfers the 20%. The only time I go to 10% is when I am leaning out in the spring/summer. My husband does about the same.
There are many reasons to add fat to your diet you can read about that in lots of place. I find on a higher fat diet I don't crave sweets and processed carbs.
Good Luck let me know how it goes!
