Soreness doesn't always occur the very next day. Sometimes it happens after 2 days. If you're not feeling your workout the next day, perhaps it's time you changed your workout. Most times you don't feel anything when you've become used to your routine. And it has become "routine." Boring, normal.

Change your exercises completely. If you're using barbells, use dumbbells. That sort of thing. If you go heavy and low rep, go lighter and higher rep.

But you don't have to feel sore to get a good workout and see results, just keep that in mind.

change is always god and so is reast, if ur not sore its ok....i'm that way sometimes too, u just shouldn't feel " strong" the day after...........but u may need change and rest, u don't wanna overe train cause thats sux.......how many excercises do u do? for a particular body part? how long dp u wotk out? they are all factors in this..........theres a saying i read one time" your only one set away from over training"

if you think i've gotten used to what i've been doing...i havent been doing my routine for very long...i'd say its only been a month and a half.
normally i do 1 or 2 body parts a day, but one at a time.
so if i'm doing deltiods, i'll do something like front flys and then immediately upright barbell row...and id do about 3 or 4 sets of that depending on how i feel on the day.
sometiems i do "dropsets"? i dunno the term for it, but you just lower the weight everytime you cant do another rep...

heh, someone in another forum says hes sore ALL the time so hopefully he'll share his secret.

Soreness has absoulutely no effect on how good of a workout you've had, or how much muscle you are building. Many people believe the opposite. They think that if they are not sore, then they are not doing enough. Im only sore if I take a couple weeks off then jump back into lifting. Often times, soreness means you over worked the muscle, and actually hinders its growth. If your not sore, and you felt like you had a good work out, chances are you did. Your muscles will recover faster if they aren't sore. Also remember, if your muscles are sore...don't work them again until they are not!
