I have been doing squat reps for last 6 weeks. After about 3 reps I start feeling really sick - any suggestions? I feel fine with all the other workouts - it's only the squats that are effecting me like this.

Squats are an extremely intense exercise and it's been said that many people get sick after squats. Personally, I never have, but I have been fatigued.
When do you workout? Do you eat before you exercise?

Thanks guys! I workout in the morning - I usually drink a glass of OJ. I am a little hesitant to eat anything - just incase the squats don't go so well LOL

hmmm wel just so u know the quads are a combionation of 4 muscles and if u concider them as one unit they r the largest muscle in the body. this is y most of us should squate more than we bench press. now if all u are putting in ur body in the morning is o.j then that might be ur problem......u need alo I MEAN ALOT of engery and blood to use them big quads and if all u have is o.j ( which by the way is like 24 carbs and 18 sugars and 1 gram of protein for 8 oz) that nto a whoel lot for ur body to use for engery........i suggest eating somthing with mroe engery in them( long lasting engery) .... oatmeal is ok , wheat toast, maybe a grainola bar, or some good healthy cearal...........or if u liek to eat breakfast just try waiting about 30min to an hour b4 working out.
u might not be warmed up properly too, try jogghing or jump roping maybe, hope this helps u a lil bit

Sometimes the release of endorphens can cause some nausea or the rapid increase of blood flow or acid build-up in the stomach...could be alot of things. Welcome to the club FSDSK! I used to get sick to the point of tossing my cookies but it gets better over the years.
-------------- May the lift be with you.
