I have irritable bowel syndrome, but the medicine I was given for it made me really dehydrated feeling (I was up to 7 quarts of water per day and peeing all the time). I'd read where fiber helps even with my symptoms (which I'll just say are not constipation). I took some yesterday and today, and things seem the same. I'm going to the doc on tuesday and I'll ask if I could damage myself by long term use of it. What does anyone here think about adding fiber to their diet via supplements? Once I get my diet on track and high fiber I'll probably cut it from 2 tablets to 1 (2 is the recommended dosage). I'm only asking/worried because the bottle says to not use it for more than 10 days.
