Ok I am trying to figure out calories in a dish but I have no clue how. Is there an easy way to do this?
Like if I make a chicken dish, how would I figure how servings and calories per serving?
Anyone know?
Thanks

you could get a scale and weigh it, then theres lots of sites on the internet with counters (ie fitday.com, here, etc.).
if it comes from a box, just check the ingredients. otherwise, just tally up what ingredients you are using, and again, hit up and internet calculator.

Hi hotfitmom....Since you have FT-Pro there is a "reletively" easy way to do it. Go to Nutrition Plan and then Nutrition Tracker....You then input each ingredient (say 1 chick breast, 1/2c rice, 1/2c peas etc)and determine the nutrition content of each. You then need to calculate what the total nutri. content is for the recipe in P,F,C and calories. Then you can create a custom food called "hotfitmom chicken dish". It is a bit of a pain at first, but once it is in there it stays there, so you only have to do it once. Don't worry about all the other nutr. data it asks for, just leave it blank. I used this a while back and found it very useful. Now when I decide to go back on a "diet" I can just start tracking with all my favorite foods and recipes already there! I even put things like "cottage cheese + berries" and "chili" just to make it easier for me.
I've also heard "fitday" is good, but I was happy with the FT one.
Good Luck!
