I just started lifting two weeks ago and after my very first workout (first time working out in my life!) some specific muscles felt like they ware going to burn out and I was nearly incapacitated for two-three days after that but after the next workout on the same area I didn't feel like that anymore instead I got a slight case of DOMS. Also the gains after the very first workout ware HUGE in comparesment (spelling) to the puny muscles I had prior to that workout.
My question is if it is normal or am I hurting myself? And I want to say again that I get that feeling only after working a muscle for the very first time.

You are fine. Keep working out, stay with it. Soreness in the beginning is part of the game, and some folks get sore all the time. Some never.
