not sure exactly how to access the fitness charts that show your progress

Have you been entering your weights and reps for every workout you do? Unless you do that there won't be anything in the progress charts to look at.

I have but when it says to click on body region to see progeress there is nothing to click on...

After you click on the body region it should bring up a list of the exercises you've been doing, you'll need to click on each of those to get the progress chart:)
