i know there are thousands of pwo posts on this site, and i have been wading through them for a week looking for the answer to this...
i remember once reading, or thinking i read, a post suggesting adding some form of flax to your pwo shake if you're trying to lose fat. i've been spiking my insulin and i've gained quite a bit of mass, but i still have some fat to lose and have been wondering if i should try this other combination while i'm cutting.
if anyone knows the answer to this or the thread where i can find it, it'd be much appreciated. muchas gracias ft amigos.

thanks for picking that one out carivan. the only thing that confuses me in that thread is the concept of the flax slowing the whey digestion down. i mean, i understand how it works, but it seems counterproductive to do this post-workout since it's such a critical time to get whey into your system. there was still another thread that went into detail more about flax vs. insulin spiking. i'm going to keep looking for it, but thanks for your help!

I recommend adding flax to your shakes after a cardio session so as not to stop any fat burning you may have achieved from your cardio session. Flax meal is excellent. Will add fats and good fiber. This will slow digestion, and produce no insulin spike. After a weight training session, never use flax.

is fish oil also acceptable to take after cardio? i usually have some fish oil capsules with my pwo meal about 30-45min. after my pwo shake after lifting, this is ok...no?

ok so one more question - is there a formula i can use to determine how much flax meal to mix in my shake? one minor detail i neglected to address...

Not really, just count it as the calories it is and the fat, carb and protein macros and figure them in your diet. A decent amount may be 2 tbsp. This is roughly 70 calories, with I believe off the top of my head 4 gr. of fat and about 3 protein and 5 or so carbs. Anyway, your package will say what the stats are.

70 calories really?...The flax seed oil i take is 14g of fat and a total of 130 calories. I take about 3 table spoons a day 1 during the day and 2 before bed. Is this too much flax?..i have counted into my calorie intake for the day, is that all that matters?
