Flax Seed Oil

OliveU2 Posts: 57 Joined: 2002/08/13	2002/10/02, 10:24 AM Is there a difference(other than the obvious) between the flax seed oil gel caps and the flax seed oil liquid from a bottle? It contains all the benefits of pure flax oil, plus extras like MCTs (medium chain triglycerides). It is my personal choice for healthy fats. Also, flax oil comes in pills, but you will have to take many of them to get the nutritional equivalent of a couple teaspoons. Some may recommend natural peanut butter, but whereas flax and udo's lists the exact amounts of omega 3,6, and 9, i dont know a brand of peanut butter that does the same. In a sense, that option represents a shortcoming.

bb1fit Posts: 11,105 Joined: 2001/06/30	2002/10/03, 02:24 AM If you mix the oil with your protein drinks, you will not have the "wicky" taste either. Besides, some of them have a nice nutty taste. You can also mix it in your salad dressing, you will never know it is there.

Of course the vitamin K is not illegal BUT once some stupid person took too much flax oil and well it contains a lot of vit K AND if you have an accident and start bleeding then containing too much of that vitamin in your body can interfere with your ability to STOP bleeding..... Hmmmm and then the French gouverment decided to get rid of all flax oil...... Easy solution, but in my opinion, pretty stupid!!!!! (they are not even giving us a choice!!!
