however, when i count the calories of my food..do i weight it before or after..
for instance..lets say that i want 6oz of round beef for dinner.....and that is approx 225 calories according to a food tracker i use..would i weigh it before or after i cook it?
ive always weighed raw..not oooked..i cant believe ive waited this long to ask or be concerned.. :/ stll a noob i guess..sigh

Both, depends on how you eat it like Sushi, Vegi's and ect.
Way it as it is as your going to consume it!

Normally you go by the raw weight. Like McDonald's, etc. with their Quarter Pounders. 1/4 lb. before 1/8 lb. of fat is cooked out. For leaner meats it probably won't make a big difference. For lean hamburgers I weigh out 4 oz. patties raw. But I thought the tracker gave you variations, raw, cooked, etc. I know fitday gives you a million variations.
