Hey guys, Over the past few weeks I've been developing some sharp forearm pain while doing seated barbell curls (EZ curl bar). It feels like it's originating deep in the center of my ulna/radius. Anybody experienced it before? Suggestions about the problem and a solution to it ? (I've just stopped doing them for now)

I don't know if this fits you exactly, but I and others I know have experienced something like you described. It is basically like shin splints in your forearms. I'll assume you understand why shin splints occur. As for treatment, rest. I just pushed through them until my arms adapted. I could be something else, so you might want someone to check it out if you are really concerned.

Good thing you stopped. Sounds like tendonitis. Can you squeeze your hand as if when you grip something? If so you have tendonitis. Have it checked to be sure. Give it a rest for sure, and use ice.

I had the same pain, I think its from gripping the bar too tight which you do when you use too much weight. try lightening up for awhile untill your forearms adapt

carivan is correct. plus, it could also be CTS. i know it may sound out of the ordinary for typical symptoms, but i know someone with almost the same complaint as you, and that was the diagnosis. you should check with a doc.
