Some guy spotted me the other day and said that I should really work on my forearms to get a bigger max bench press. I didn't believe him I was just like, "oh ok man thanks for the advice". Do the forearms really play such a big role in the bench press?

they play a role in stabilizing the weight...but not necessarily in actually helping push the weight....

do some hammer curls... heavy ones........thats should make the bracelis strong....which is used alot in benching.

I do no forearm work.....what lil I get is from like deadlifts, rows stuff like that.....but I don't isolate them.

reverse curls can also target that.. and behind the back wrist curls will be good for your extensors.. i would think strengthening your triceps, lats, and shoulders would have a greater effect on improving your bench

if your brachialis is coming into play that much on a bench press you might also want to have a look at your grip. your wrists shouldn't be set back to the point where there is that much strain on the muscle.
