I call this the form and pump workout as it focuses completely on the form and pump for each exerise. It came about completly by me making a mistake, as I thought of it at the time. I have since come up witha modified version. Usualy when I do this I take time to make sure the form for each exeercise is perfect, and when I say that I mean 100% perfect. What this does is force me to lower the weight and go slower, this in turn creates a hugh pump. The purpose of this workout is to increase the blood flow in each muscle belly. This will add som e growth but also increase endurance. Each rep is done slowa 3-4 sec count for most. I have modified it a little. I found that for 3-4 certain exercises a real heavy weight is needed to grow, Shrugs, bent rows, deadlifts. So for this 3 week routine I will stay rather heavy for those, the actual weight will go down but not as far as most other exercises. Here is an example: For bench instead of starting with 205 for 10 reps, I will start with 155, do 4 sets rep range 10-12. My form on all exercises will be strictly enforced. Any deviation from it will result in an immediate reduction in weight and more reps added right away. Now this is not based on great scientific research of the kind BB1fit gives. I do not work that way, this is totaly a workout that is mine. I do not suggest that others try it as the volume for most is not good. Each body part gets 4exercise with 3-4 sets making any where from 12-16 sets, some and most fo the time closer to 15-20.
Monday chest and arms
Wed Back
Sun Shoulders and legs.
There is only 30 sec rests between sets (except for squats and deadlifts).
I will let you know how this goes.

Instinctive training is a great way to go! This is a sign of being "in touch" with your muscles. Good job...keep changing things up.

It sounds interestand and challenging. I think that is how beginners usually start out. More reps, less weight.

Oh MUTT is NO beginner...lol, just joking shavondb. Instinctive traing is a sign of someone who is looking beyond the conventional way of training and, as BB1FIT stated, is truly in tune wit how their muscles work. This takes a long time to accomplish...its like the nirvana of weightlifting. Good for U MUTT!!
-------------- May the lift be with you.

JUst wanted to add. I did my first and ffor sure not the last workout on this. I did chest and Bi. Let em say this my chest feels totaly ripped apart. I have more pain there than I have had in a long time. On to bi's. I said in another post that i rearly if ever feel any pain after a bi workout. NO MORE! Ouch! I finally feel it there. It was a huge workout, not a lot of weight lifted but paying close attention to form did the trick! Heavy lifting IS going to be my workout of choice, but every other month this 3 week Form and Pump workout will come back!
