Okay let me start by saying No I am not expecting, I just really don't like jellys, jams or preserves. And I have one of those no-stick table top grills that doesn't require butter to toast the bread. But I thought I'd share this with ya'll since it's really quite good, even if it may only be a treat to some.
Two pieces of bread, peanut butter and fruit of your choice sliced (I tried carrots once because I love pb and carrots but they didn't go very well with the bread) Just cook it until the bread is crisp and a medium tan color over mid/high heat (I think it's about 375 on my grill) you don't want to over cook it since you risk burning the peanut butter.
Things I've tried with this and have had the tastiest results with are
Bananas
Blueberries
Apples (yummy especially with a tiny spinkling of cinnamon)
Cheddar cheese (I know processed and not that good for you oooh so good melted together with the pb)
Raspberries
Plums (though they're hard to cut I always remove the skin first and eat that while waiting on the sandwich to cook)
My husband likes them with pickles, but I'm starting to think that's an Ohian thing, and just something I'll never quite be able to stomach.
But even just toasting the bread in a regular toaster and smoothing on the PB once it pops up works, it's not quite the same but is still nice if you don't have alot of time in the morning or afternoon.

I really love toasted peanut butter sandwiches and I just got a table top griddle so I'll have to give that a shot!
Now come on, though, peanut butter and CHEESE?? And you think your hb is weird? LOL Just teasing you, I'm sure, well, I'm sure it's a unique culinary experience. LOL

Sounds similar to what I make, but instead of the grill, I put a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich in one of those press-down type grill machines that seals the sandwhich. Spray it with fat-free PAM and you got a yummy, low fat (if using low-fat peanut butter) treat!

Another thing you can do is (I know this sounds gross) make a sandwich (I use ham w/ some dijon mustard and a little tomato and swiss), then soak the sandwich in a mixture of egg white and milk, just like you were making french toast. Then cook that on the griddle w/ some Pam. Just don't oversoak the bread or it will be mushy.
Also if you don't mind all the salt you can add saurkraut... are you grossed out yet? ;)

Toasted peanut butter and banana sandwiches are my all-time favorite snack. I wish I was eatting one right now.
When I was younger I used to eat PB and cheese-wiz on toast all the time. I know I would still love them now, but I don't eat them anymore because I stopped eatting processed cheese spreads (trans-fat on toast).
-------------- - Its never about how much you can lift, or how many reps you do. Its just about doing it, and doing it right.
- If your hungry all the time, your not eating enough. And anyways, being hungry sucks.
