Wondering how the suppliments that are under the reccomended section are chosen..is it from advertisers or is it from testing? I am learning alot from this site..and look to it for suggestions on my suplements, just want to know how its chosen.

I think it has to do with your goals......for example
If your trying to lose weight......it will give you a low carb whey source.......plu smaybe a fat burner etc. Its not recomending that actual supplement persay, but somthing like it nutretional wise. Of coarse I could be wrong. Althoguh I have kinda wondered it too.
-------------- if you want sympathy......from me...in a dictionary look between symphony and syphillis.......there you\'ll find it!

Yeah..I understand using that TYPE of product..be it whey protien or meal replacement..but wonder WHY they recommend that specific one..is it due to testing and it yeilded the best results for the price..or is it because the place they reccomend it has extra they need to sell. I have ALWAYS been curious about brands..I wish they would list what you need to look for in each supplement and what brandS they say are better than others..and why. I have searched the site..things I thought were good and was going to use (Animal Pak for instance) I find 10 people against for every 1 for, it gets DANG confusing! Help a brother out!!

usually they just list supplements for specific goals:
so to lose weight: caffeine, cartinine, Hoodia Gordonii(this is the newest supplement that suppresses appettite even in couch potatoes watching tv with food at their fingertips or so i read...derived from cactus plant in africa...it's a gold mine for a few tribes there), protein
keep fat off: CLA
weight gain: protein, creatine powder, multivitamin, lots of water, Nitric Oxide, glutamine, HMB..list goes on
general categories...research it to know more

CodyGrizz stay away from fat loss pills and anything else that promises dramtic weight loss in a short period. These will just make your wallet lighter. A good clean diet, weight, training and cardio will knock the weight off. Patience is key. Supplement don't change from weight loss to weight gain. Caloric intake is the only thing that will change.Top supplements that should be on your list:
Protein
Malto/dextro mix
Glutamine
Vitamins
Creatine if your really want but gains are not permanant only as long as you take it.

I know what suppliments to use, and dont take "fat loss pills"..I just wanted to know if the brand they reccommend was for a reason..why are they promoting "Brand X" for protien..then someother company for creatine, etc. Just wondered why the certain brand names were chosen..figgure its just sales, doesnt actually mean anything.

Cody I think you're being paranoid...it's because certain companies are well established and come to mind more easily than others...that's why...also they are more likely to have what they say on the label vs smaller more suspicious companies.

Paranoid?? I never asked if it was a conspiracy or anything. I asked if a suppliment was reccomended because they want to push that brand, of if it was tested and shown to be the best/purest/cost effective brand. With hundreds of protiens out there for instance, you have to wonder which is better. I know you can find one you like, but always nice to have more information. Its called asking to learn..nothing more. I dont assume things, nor should you. If anyone knows a good site with scientific data on different brands, that would be great!!
