full body......can usually be done in a circuit style, which can get your heart rate going just as good as a cardio session.
and you can usually do it in a lesser amount of time.....usually 3 days a week.
bad thing is, not much isolation.
and if done too much you can over train easly, and it can be boring
somtimes your whole body will be sore lol
single areas
you can concetrate more on "problem areas"
you can really work the muscle, instead of only doing 1 excercise....you can do 3 or 4 and really makes that muscle work.(eg 2 mass , 2 skulpting etc)
usually better results
your whole body isn't sore
and you have more recovery time for the next session for that bodypart or parts
not sore all over, but in certain areas( eg chest tris etc
bad things usualy take more of your week, but still same amount of time....about an hour a day 4 days usually
heart rate don't get as high
you can still over train, but not as easly
heres an example
whoel body spilt split
sun workout chest/tri
mon off legs
tues work out off
wed off back bi
thurs work out shoulders
fri off off
sat workout off
sun off reapeat
mon workout
etc
full body workout you only get one day rest inbetween what you worked out.
whereas the single you don't work the same areas till the following week........
