Hello everyone, I'm a new member to the site and just reciently had my personal trainer move out of state so I figured this is the next best thing. I just enlisted in the U.S. Army and need to get in practically prime shape for my ship date. My height seems to be the main problem for me as far as weight requirements through M.E.P.S center (military entry processing station). I'm 5'2", weigh 155 lbs which is considered over weight to them. Normally that would be over weight for a female of this height but I wear a size 4 jeans and have always been "over weight" medically but never out of shape. I'm on an intense training routine 7 days a week and my target goals are to get as small as possible by Dec 2. which is my second appointment with M.E.P.S. I no I will not reach weight standards but size is the issue due to my height. Any suggestions on super quick slim downs (safely) will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance and God Bless The USA!

I was in the army myself. I'd say focus on pushups, situps, overhead claps, flutter kicks, mountain climbers, crab walks, pull ups, squat jumps. Those are most of the exercises they're going to make you do when they smoke you at basic, so it'd be good to start workin on those muscles now so they don't kill you when you get there haha. Also 3 cardio sessions a week would probably be beneficial, 2 long runs, something like three miles each and one HIIT day where you do interval sprints. Work on flexibility as well.
Eat 6 meals a day, not sure how many calories you should shoot for, but the nutritional tracker on this site can help ya with that. I'd also say cut your training down to five days a week so you don't get burnt out before you even get to basic. They're going to have you working out 7 days a week when you get there.
