What's wrong with the mass program? Do you have your own program? Does it or has it worked? How many days a week do you workout?

I agree..

the mass program is 4-5 days a week.. if you can't work apround that then how do you expect to work around another program? 2-3 days a week is NOT very productive when you wish to gain HUGE MASS and STRENGTH.

Hey i'm not saying that the mass program isn't good, i just wanted to know about other program + hints, since were not all the same and the same things don't work for everyone, thats all.

Myth, you've got to start somewhere. You can modify the 12-week mass program if you like. But don't expect to find a total body workout without at least having some kind of base to work with. Speaking of Arnold, why don't you try one of his routines? Of course, you may not be able to hang...his routines are not for everyone! That's for sure...

If thats something he's great at and loves doing why would he have to find a different hobby.. from his pics it looks like he is in good shape and there really isn't anything bad about bodybuilding.. i mean what would you suggest he do? eat pizza and watch tv.. doesn't seem like a hobby to me.. its not like it takes up every waking moment to look like that... and about obsessed.. who hasn't obessed about something at some point or another...

Here is a my two cents worth. Actually these are quotes from someone that is not famous at all, but really should be.

"If it were not for obsession, there would be only failure."

"If you don't have time to do it right the first time, where do you find the time to do it again?"

There's always someone who wants to lift big, work with big poundages, get as big as a truck, etc., etc. but don't have time to work out! Okay...what's wrong with this picture? Maybe that magic pill will help or that magic workout will give you a body like Arnold...yeah right (get real)!

Only serious people get serious results! Bodybuilding takes hard work and cannot be achieved by some magic formula...

My 3 cents...

Hell, I'm wondering if it's going to take one year at 5 days a week or five years to get what I want.

Lets get a few things straight:
1. i'm not some lazy a** guy who wants to do the minimum work and get maximum results, i was just wondering if there was anything else that some of you guys tried that worked well (as in not drugs but programs, to get more variety, to get better results in the end).
2. I wasn't insulting Arnold, i actually was curious as to know if he was in reality the man himself.

3. I'm in this sport/lifestyle for the long-haul, and i'm gonna bust my butt to get the results i'm looking for.

I don't use any supps at all.. but you still have to kind of pay attention to what you eat and good form.. I would say that good form with the ft programs should work out really well for you in the end but if you want to try other programs you can try some of the blitz things at abcbodybuilding.com .. their pretty rough and usually a lot of things to do just to target one area of your body... if you look around there are plenty of sites out there that post up workouts or splits and if you want you can even come up with your own.. i'd still say ft is pretty good for their workouts though and would try to stick to it...

Myth_master...just look at your first 2 posts then say we all didn't get the same message.

Anyway, there's no substitution for hard work. There are no "secret" routines to getting big! When you said you couldn't "work around" the 12-week mass program, what were we to think?

So, that being said, I hope you find the routine you have been looking for. The ones Fireloard mentioned on the other website may do the trick...but they're pretty intensive and certainly not meant for beginners or novices.

haha i like myth_master :big_smile::big_smile:
myth, what do you currently do at the moment as in diet, routines, also id suggest a logbook if you dont use one at the moment, i like this as you can see each time you have a workout your aiming to be better at the exercise or workout routine then the time before, so say one week you benched a certain weight then the week after you may wanna bench a lil more or do a few more reps, or add the weight slower so on so forth anyway
as far as routines go diet is generally majority of work and i believe you can lose fat and gain mass.. even though so many people say it aint true but yea screw them they can just go through there to fase period cycles :) ill do my one yearly thing:D just means diet even more stricter i think anyway.. anywho as you said you gotta see what works for you so if you aint started just try doing different things and record in a log book what feels good and works and what doesnt work, i usually rate a routine after each time i finish em outta 5 or so if its gets a 5 i keep it and use again some other time if its 3 or below id toss it out and above 3 id usually see what i could improve, anyway i aint really read all the above, hope this helps can write more latter when i know more info about you.. -tim
