you can always search where you live for items you can replicate a workout with if you'r going for just mass. Granted... if you'r just throwing random objects around you'r probably going to hurt yourself, you need to make sure anything you use is stable, not going to topple over in mid use, and secondly, not going to crush you if for some reason you have to stop lifting.However, if you have the money to invest, I'd get a bowflex, or whatever is popular these days.
