Here's the problem, my other half isn't feeling at all good about her body. And as much as i try to convince her that her body is great (which, it is!) she has some of the hangups that women have, compounded with the fact that i work in circles with women who cause much of this stigma of the "ideal physique".
She's 5ft10/11, and i couldnt possibly guess her weight (and i wouldnt EVER ask), eats well and frequently and is cutting out alcohol and is currently doing HIIT three times a week as well as weights, after i devised a workout plan to fit around her lifestyle.
Now the problem is that her current regime that i produced for her, she doesn't feel that there is enough work on her abs, legs, and glutes. Can anybody post some workouts that would really work the aforementioned areas: Abs, Glutes, Legs; bear in mind she is "cutting" or toning as she would put it, not really looking for a great increase in lean tissue.
I simply want her to feel confident around me and those i assosiate with, and will go great lengths to do so.
Any help would be appreciated.

#1Deadlifts
#2Squats
#3Lunges
#4Step Ups
#5Glute/Ham
the rest is her nutrition...if she cuts calories there's no way she'll gain muscle...

Why do you think deadlifts are too hardcore?
For her abs
1.Seated Leg Tucks
2.Crunches
3.Bent Knee Leg Raises

Thanks mystic, regaurding deadlifts, she isn't likely to go into freeweight section and lift a huge bar. Not that there is anything wrong with that, just that she wouldn't feel in place.

She could do deadlifts with a bodybar if they have them...or dumbells. When i started, I just did them in the same area I did my situps and pushups...away from the big boys. It is such a good overall exercise I'd hate to see you leave them out. I agree with manace on best for the abs!! Pilates are an additional option.

I think as do a select group here that given any other exercise deadlifts are the best. Now some say Squats are king I say ok, but deadlifts will kick your arse just as much or more so.

You would do them the same as you would with a barbell. The bobybar is just shorter than the barbell and less weight. With the dumbells, you just hold one in each hand and do the same movement. There should be a proper description in the glossary of exercises and I believe there is also some discussion about them in another thread...try fitbuddy. I'm not great at descibing exercises, so if you can't find it elsewhere, maybe someone else will explain.
Make sure you instruct her on proper form though!!!
