I heard recently about Glucomanan.Glucomannan is a water-soluble dietary fiber that is derived from konjac root (Amorphophallus konjac). It has the highest molecular weight and strongest viscosity among any dietary fiber known to science. (Molecular weight between 200,000-2,000,000 Daltons).Glucomannan can absorb up to 100 times its weight in water. It is recommended as weight loss nutrition supplement because it creates a feeling of full stomach (due to its ability to augment its size in the stomach),and also because it is said to absorb fats from the food and prevent their absorbation by the organism.
Does anyone here take Glucomanan? I bought one bottle months ago,and now I started to take it but it has been only for two days and I cannot say if there is difference.

I find it easier to exercise and just eat the proper foods and the quantity of food necessary to fuel growth and maintainance. Not sure why a food with the highest molecular weight and strongest viscocity would be a good thing. I don't believe in miracles when it comes to fat loss or diet supplements especially when loss of appetite is involved.
Take a look at the exercise programs here and the nutritional suggestions that go with them. You may be pleasantly surprised at just how much you can eat while getting and staying in shape. Welcome to FT too!!!!.

2 days wouldn't be enough time to judge any type of product.
You need to do a minimum of at least 6 months before you can judge it. Give it time and find out for yourself. Sorry , I can't help you with info on it.
Real fiber is best, contained in high fiber cereals and good carbs.
Charlie gave you some good info, try it.

Yes, I`m exercising and trying to keep a healthy way of eating.

Thank you for the welcome! I signed already for my free exercise programs and started following them. However, regarding the nutrition plan,I`m slightly confused,as the amounts of proteins, carbs and fats are given according to the highest calorie intake recommended for me,which is 1900 Kcal....but I`m on a reduced calorie diet and my calorie intake vary from 1000 to 1500 per day according to how much energy/activities I spent/performed.So I`m not quite sure how to determine the amount of proteins, carbs and fats when I take much less than 1900 Kcal.

To benefit the most from the two programs takes a little experinentation. first you need to determine what your maintainance calories are or the calories it takes to remain at present weight while doing the exercise plan. once you know that, you can reduce calories by say 250 per day for a week or two.
Use a tape measure or your cloths more so than a scale to check your progress. Muscle weighs more than fat so as you start building it you may not see a dramatic weight loss but who cares if you are getting smaller??!!
Also you don't want to restrict calories while following a good lifting and cardio routine. If you do you'll put your body into starvation mode and your body will hold on to the fat it has at the expense of muscle. Not good.
You may also notice that some measurements actually grow. This is because as you build muscle, it pushes the overlying fat out a bit. I promise this is only temporary.
Muscle burns more calories than fat does both at rest and while using them. Stay the coarse. Try not to change your daily calorie intake by more than 250cals. This applies in gaining or losing weight . Also eat 5 or 6 small meals per day to reach your total. This will boost your metabolism.
Hope this helps.

Oh, sorry the P/C/F macros work about the same as you reduce calories. A little extra healthy fat may be called for as you reduce.
