I started taking 5grams of creatine right after weight training last week (wednesday) I developed a headache like I have never had before almost went to walk in clinic it lasted 2 days. Sunday again I took 5 grams after my workout, and yet again another very severe headache. It has to be the glutamine that is the only thing I have changed. I never get headaches. Has anyone heard of this before?? I researched online before I started taking it and could only find positive remarks about it. Are there any other supplements that are similar in effects as glutamine. I remember before taking L-glutamine and getting headaches but they weren't as severe. Maybe 5 grams is too much for me? Not sure, puzzled :( if anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :dumbbell:
I am confused. The first sentence said creatine, but then you started refering to Glutamine. I am no expert but I take a product that has 1200mg L-Glutamine per dose and can be taken up to three times per day. I know lots of people using the same product with no side effects like you describe. I would try cutting the dose down to just over a gram and take it 5 minutes BEFORE working out, not after. Hope that helps.
