Currently taking mega whey from GNC, has 5g glutamine and some BCAA's. Also taking creatine from GNC.
I am seeing good results though sometimes hard on my gut. I've seen the designer whey protien supplements at the gym are these any better with the same amounts of protien? I think the brand is lean power or something (case of 20 pouches for 60$) Same question with the creatine? I guess basically I just want to know if GNC brand supplements are good enough or if I am missing out by not taking some other brand? If so what should i look for in a whey protien supplement, a creatine supplement, and a glutamine supplement. If everyone is'nt sick of this yet also want to ask about ?andro pills? what the ---- are they, and are they safe? Thanks all in advance for the time. -------------- Dont be afraid to fall down- |

I prefer NitroTech but I've only tried that, EAS, and BioChem. All work to some degree bu the glutamine and BCAA's quality can vary. You can take a grassroots whey supplement and then use your own extras and be more precise and save money.
In fact, nowhere on my tub of NitroTech can I find out exactly how much L-Glut or creatine is in it, but it is in there. Guessing sucks. ;) -------------- --There are no versions of the truth.-- Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic Park II |

Designer is just a name that got alot of hype. I would just purchase a 100% whey isolate for quality. Also check the % of filler by doing the math regarding scoop size versus protien per scoop.
For the creatine you you would want 100% pure micronized creatine. Micronized mixes better. Regarding your question on quality of GNC, I can't vouch for them. They don't exist in Quebec. Holy buckets, did a search on this site and came up with loads of information. Thank you all for the help even all the posts from 2 years ago describing andro's and such, no idea what i could have gotten into, will start on ZMA's and will not go to GNC for the 100% WPC in the mega whey protein anymore.
Hey carivan any clue on brand name (website) for the 100% pure micronized creatine? thanks again -------------- Dont be afraid to fall down- |

One of our moderators on here (bb1fit) highly recomends Beverly Nutrition. He is in the USA and has the experience with the product. Might want to email him for some info.

He recommends everything Beverly, Carivan :D He says it's all about quality. I gotta trust him too if his physique is to be testimony to the effectiveness. Quebecois, eh? J'habite apres vous. I'll toss my 2 cents in and say try Creapure creatine out of Germany. Only a few companies use it, one of which is Universal Nutrition, who I strongly recommend for supplements in general.-------------- Michael "Trample the weak; hurdle the dead!" |

They sell online rev? And does anybody have free shipping? I like good prices and free shipping, that's the stuff that creates brand loyalty for me :D if it works, of course ;)-------------- --There are no versions of the truth.-- Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic Park II |

I can't vouch for the quality of GNC products. I have used them but wouldn't consider myself a guru on the subject. However, I have started to compare prices online. Example: GNC 42 pack of Myoplex pouches.. $110. Online I found the same product for $54. ($10 shipping) That type of markup is unexcusable and I vow to never buy from them again. -------------- Dont wait! Procrastinate NOW! =) |

I got creatine from EAS and I started with the large intake cuz I didnt read anything about the amount and then after a couple days I read how you just need .4 grams or something and anything more is a waste...I only take it now when I actually lift or do abs right after because its more benefical and I havent seen a lot of gain but I am a girl so I guess I shouldn't be surprised!

I think you did the right thing coming on here and asking about supplements. And I wouldn't trust GNC either, their employees are there to sell you products, not tell you the truth. Plus, as mentioned earlier, they are MUCH more expensive than many online sources.
