I have my #12 jersery on, a beer in front of me waiting for kickoff..... For some reason I am not quite as confident as I was last year. Should be a good game regardless of the outcome. crossing my fingers & toes

If it helps, I'm a Colts fan and I'm not confident either

I have to say i'm a bit worried about facing the PATS next week they looked strong, hopefully it'll be a little different comign to Heinz field. Pittsburgh's got a better D than Indy, but New England did look strong. Those Eagles looked good as well the Flacons game should be a good one as well.

You know Subway has a contest toast to the superbowl-send in a toast & win a trip to Jacksonville to watch the New England win (that is if they get past the Steelers) You could probably come up with something great  ============ Quoting from howdiekat: by more than a tad...the pats must be glad...manning was had... ============= |

I have to agree. I really don't think the NFC stands a chance. I just didn't give the Pats enough credit. I think the Steelers are good, but Saturday didn't seem to be one of their best performances. Im interested to see how well they do next weekend.

My team's out of it. I'm an "anybody but perfect Peyton" kind of fan. Now I'm anybody but Atlanta.

By they way have you ever tried the cheeses they have at whole foods?...I had some the other day and i've never tatsed cheese like that before it was awesome. sorry i just love whole foods i think whole foods market should become the new staple grocery store in every city.

oh my gosh i had this cheese there the other day that was a blend between gouda and parmesan. it was fabulous. i could just walk around the store and eat the samples. they had this parmesan crusted meatloaf last week that was to die for -- i tried making it but i wasn't very successful. i am an ignorant cook and have to rely on whole foods to feed me things that are already prepared. -------------- i wish you ill, ice-t. margarine is a liar who announces, "i am butter!" |

Try this one
Turkey Meatloaf 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey 1 large onion, chopped 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley 3 large garlic cloves, chopped 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons Creole or Cajun seasoning 1 egg white (beaten to blend) 2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled Creole mustard or other spicy mustard Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine first 9 ingredients in large bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Place turkey mixture in 9x5-inch nonstick loaf pan. Cover and bake 20 minutes. Spread top with mustard. Bake uncovered another 35 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cut into slices. Serves 4. |

atleast you keep trying you'll get it one of these days. Not sure if your much of a beer drinker or not but they have this beer there by the name of "samuel Smiths" the brown ale and oatmeal stout are the 2 that are to die for they only some in single 1 pint bottles because they are like 4 bucks a pop so a 6 pack would be about 30 bones a little pricey for 6 beers but anyway super sunday might be a good time to have a little cheat and crack open a bruski and watch the game or tomorrow like me since you never know when your team may be knocked out..

mmm, beer. i haven't had a drink since october -- i would splurge on superbowl weekend but i have to update the game stories on the chronicle website so i probably shouldn't be drinking while i'm doing that. the oatmeal stout sounds especially delightful though. maybe one day...
i will give the turkey meatloaf a try. i need to learn how to something other than grill. i will say that i do make excellent grilled pork chops and sauteed green beans. sadly, i don't really eat pork anymore, but the green beans are good. -------------- i wish you ill, ice-t. margarine is a liar who announces, "i am butter!" |

I have found that with most vegetables if you reduce some low sodium chicken broth, add a little olive oil and add lemon pepper - pour it over any vegetable if you want a new taste. I just looked at the thread title...how did we get to this subject from "go pats"?
