I've been doing the nutritional program from ft and found it very difficult at first. It's getting easier now that I am learning what foods to eat..
I'm supposed to have 375g carb, 188g protein and 53g fat.. I have no problem with the protein (usually get over 200g), fat usually isn't an issue, but I can't get the carbs to the right number.. I'm always under.
I try to stay away from the simple carbs, and you can only have so many apples and bananas during the day (I heard bananas aren't the best to eat anyway), so what else can I eat that has 'good' carbs, but doesn't add to my fat content?
I have been eating oatmeal in the morning, a couple of slices of Ezekiel bread throughout the day, an apple and banana, sometimes a fat free muffin.. but ran out of other items.. any suggestions?
Also, does anyone know if you an add foods to the nutritional program if upgraded to Pro status? Is there a limitation to adding foods, or can you add anything and input it's c/p/f numbers?

For good carbs I tend to stick to raw veggies and salads. The salads are my favorite cause I can spice things up with some almonds, hard boiled eggs, etc.

Beans, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, brown rice, whole grain breads, whole grain pasta, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries

bags and bags of mixed frozen vegetables (asparagus stirfry mix, cauli/broccoli mix, not the cut up carrots peas and corn) You can nuke em with some seasoning sprinkled on top, yummy! You can stiryfry em with some chicken broth and seasoning, mmm. And they don't rot in the bottom drawer of your fridge because you can't use them fast enough!
On the pro you can add custom foods with all the nutrient content (I thought I could do that before pro..hmm)

Thanks for your input. I usually have my veggies during dinner, so I was looking for other ideas.. I'm also off by about 100g of carbs, which I would assume is A LOT of vegetables.. is there anything in particular that has a lot of carbs, but little or no fat to help make up the difference, but not go crazy eating..?

Mm sweet potatoes. Beans and brown rice too.
Eating 5-6 times a day, I find that eating veggies with dinner isn't enough veggies, I have them with 3 of my meals. You SHOULD eat a lot of vegetables.
