Good morning, afternoon, night, whatever it may be when you read this. I guess I need to introduce myself. I am a 27 year old male Canadian living in the Okanagan valley somewhere. Im "practically" married, and I have a dog and a cat. My current lifestyle consists of working M-F 8-4:30, going home, eating then sleeping. Doing it all over again.
I had a long stretch for holidays this past 2 weeks and I have had lots of time to think about things in my life.
As for being overweight, yeah thats sooo me. I am there right now. I have already done the yoyo dieting like most of you out there. From Atkins to Southbeach, to WW, Jenny Craig even, and Slimfast, to the simple fasting for as long as you can diets. I do have a lot of information on losing weight, but just have never applied my knowledge for my own good.
The reason I want to lose weight this time, is two things. Number one is for myself, and secondly I have not seen my brother in 2 years, and he is coming out in May, I would like to drop 50lbs by the time he comes out. I think that is feasible as it is only 10 lbs a month.
Anyways its nice to see a community online that is helpful and not so negative like alot of other boards out there! Looking forward to posting my progress as I go.
Today I walked 5kms with my dog.
Its cold out, and there is about 2 feet of snow. :)
