I know your typical animal fat is the stuf that we need to avoid. But for fat intake in general does it matter if your fat intake is the good fat ie sunflower seed, flax seeds, nuts that type of thing. I guess what I am asking is can you increase your fat intake if it is the good type or is fat just fat regardless where it comes from.

yea when I look at labels, I first look at protein, and then fat, then the carbs lol....
All i know is that your body needs a good (Not extreme) source of fats, healthy ones like olve fats or something like that. I herd that once like a few months ago...o well;)

Yeah, if I started keeping track of EVERYTHING, I would go nuts and start a krispy kreme donut diet. Maybe if you're thinking about competing, stuff like that might matter more.

Oh yes, good fat is necessairy to burn the bad one. Don't be afraid of eating good fat.
I once posted a great article (under the diet forum) about the myth of fat and carbs. It's a looooong article but give yourself the pleasure of reading it and you'll understand a lot more.

Halthy fats....i.e...olive oil, fish oils, flaxseed oils actually help reduce your LDL and increase your HDL cholesterol levels. That is one of your main objectives. Also these fats are very "useful". I add flax oil to each of my protein drinks. This is a very technical issue, and there are lots of great info sites on the net about them.

Honestly I don't know much about cholesterol in yogurt BUT dairy fat is mostly made up of saturated fat so don't count too much about that one Tiff.
