I tried a new routine for back. I did some barbell rows, some deadlifts and some good mornings at first. The gym i go to is small and there is on area reallt to do these. But there is a platform with a raised holder for a bar. So I used that. Rows went well ,deadlifts you cant put the bar to the platform because its narrower than the length of the bar, so I just came close. I did the good mornings well too but I have never seen anybody do these, ever. I felt really wierd doing them especially because its in the middle of the whole room. Does anybody do good mornings anymore?:(

I am sure some people do. I do stiff legged deadlifts, which work basically the same muscle groups, but iI find it more comfortable.
Don't worry about how it looks, keep up the good effort!

yea, people at my gym don't do deadlifts, and rarely ever do squats. You get looked at funny when you do such stuff sometimes, but you have to remember that it is going to be you that is going to be looked at later, when everyone is envious of how you look in the tight shirt. Hard work pays off in the end, no matter how different you might feel.

I think that it depends on your goals. You have no profile, so I don't know exactly what your goals are or if you are male or female, but if you are trying to add mass, you should do straight (stiff)-leg deadlifts, you can lift much more weight SAFELY and really work the same areas much better and I feel that you get a longer range of motion with them and it helps work your hams too. If you are toning and doing general conditioning, or looking to shock your muscles, mixing in some good mornings is great.
Everyone looks funny lifting, its after lifting that we stand apart from the rest.
