Hey guys. Another question on a different topic.. I am working out to the point where I know I cannot take anymore and for about 15 minutes it appears to me that I am really sore. Once I get home, it seems like it has worn off and I don't feel too bad. Occassionally I will train to failure as well... and I like spotter-assisted reps as well. I am currently taking a lot of protein and creatine... is this blocking the lactic acid? If I'm not sore the night of my workout, am I going to make mass gains? Is this normal? Lol. Should I just train to fail nonstop, I am putting a lot of weight on the bar too.. I don't know.
I'm basically seeing if it is just me or if I am doing something wrong. Any comments/suggestions are appreciated.

Soreness is normal. But you don't have to be sore to make gains. Remember to stretch after each workout. You might also try a few yoga exercises to stretch your body.

yeah soreness is normal and you don't always have to feel sore for gains. sometimes sorenesses are for a mental boost, making you feel like you know you are gaining.

Depends on what your fitness goals are...training to failure every time is not the key. Burning is not always the answer. By reading your profile, I would suggest not burning out every time if you are trying to make strength and lean muscle gains. When you go home, are you eating or supplementing protein immediately after your workout with a simple carb? Do this for gains and overall muscle maintenence. You should be burning enough through football, so why continuously burn in your weight training? Got me? Good luck!
