Hey guys! I signed up for freetrainers.com in 2006, but didn't follow through. Now I've made some progress in both size and strength, but also added some (who am I kiddin?, lots!) fat. Every year, over the winter holidays, I'll achieve a personal best in one lift or another, but along with that I've been consistently adding around 5 pounds per year to my bodyweight. I keep telling myself that atleast some of it has to be muscle, but in back of my mind I know that most of it is fat! My wake-up moment came recently when I had to move up from 34 to 36 jeans. I am so confident that this is just a temporary move that I told my wife to hold on to those jeans because I WILL get back into them! I just hope that I can keep my strength while doing so. I do have one question for anyone who can answer this. There is no mention of cardio in the workout programs on the site. Should I do the short duration with moderate intensity or long duration with low intensity cardio? Should I do cardio on non lifting days or after workouts?
Thanks guys!

I say go for longer duration with an intensity that is sustainable. I use to do weight training in the morning and in the evenings ride the bike for about an hour and half. but that's when I was going for a really ripped look.I myself think that any increase in the waist means lots of fat where it's not needed. what's your diet like?
And good luck for the New Year!!
