Hello everyone,
New to the community. So play nice :P
I have just a couple of questions. I have worked out in the past but never did it along with a proper diet and everything that should go along with it.
I have entered my info into the site and I got my workout plan that I am going to follow. I also created a nutritional plan and it says I should consume around 4100 calories a day.
I have an office job and can eat pretty much whenever I want. I have read up a lot and have found out that I should eat 6 times a day (3 meals and 3 "snacks") with a big breakfast, medium sized lunch, and small dinner. Obviously to get that kind of caloric intake, I will have to ingest a protein shake or 3 :P The protein powder gives 1000 calories, 56g of protein, of 169g carbs, and 14g of fat. I usually add some milk, some oj, a banana, and some strawberries and make a smoothie of sorts. Problem is, it comes out to be about 3.5 cups of liquid. Supposedly, two of those shakes should be ingested prior to and post workout. Apparantly, the post workout shake should be within 30 minutes of the workout to maximize effect. But what about the pre-workout? How long before the workout should it be ... keeping in mind its 3 cups of liquid?
I guess thats about it for now. Hmmm, thats only one question I guess :) See, y'all got off easy :)
Anywho, thank you to everyone who will take the time to answer. It will be very much appreciated.
Talk soon.
