Im just wondering will high intensity exercises (i.e. heavy weights) stunt your growth? I've heard somewhere i don't exactly know where but i remember hearing that too much high intensity exercises can stunt your growth, What do you think?

this is a myth stemming from the observation that the best weightlifters are short, but this is cause and effect. Top weightlifters are short not BECAUSE they weightlift, but are top weightlifters because they are SHORT.

There is some basis for this myth but in the end it is a myth. IF in you younger years meaning 0-13 or so you realy do heavy heavy lifts you can damage the growth plates. But if you start at 13-14 with supervision and a good workout plan you are ok.

So basically NBA players aren't tall because they play basketball, but they're good at basketball because they're tall. Whatever your genetics are will determine what you're 'area' you are good at.
