Hi I'm a 36 Years male with 5'10" and weiging 180LBS. Untill last year I was not a regular workout guy doing occasional jogging. But last October I decided to bring down my weight to 170( slightly below my ideal weight of 176). I stopped eating rice,bread,sugar and deep fried items and also started aerobics,yoga and running regularly. after couple of months my weight came down to 175. its been almost 5 mothns I'm doing my regular workouts and same restictions on food(except i started eating one fat free yogurt one a day) but still my weight gone back to 180.

Now I decided to build some muscles I joined a fitness center and doing 30 min Cardio and 30 minutes weights. I wanted your adivce on how can i bring doen my weight to 170 and build some muscles. I just anted to list my food intake on daily basis. This routine I was follwojg from last one year and intend to follow same if you all agree or change per your suggessions.

Breakfast(8AM) - 2 waffles and 1 cup tea with 2% milk
10 AM - 1 banana
11 AM - 1 cup milk with nesquick powder

Lunch(12.30) - Salad with 2 eggs or Veg soup with two eggs and 1 fat free yogurt

2.30PM - 40-50 ground nuts

3.30Pm - 1 apple or any other fruit

4.30 pM - 1 cup of tea with 2% milk and 10-15 weat thins grams

Dinner( 8PM) - Home made weat tortillas with cooked vegetables and bean or chicken curry and couple of fresh dates.

Water: 1 gallon of water per day.

I would appreciate your help in achieving my dream and live healthy. please prove me a good workout plan and also any food plan.

Why do you want to be below your ideal weight?

Your diet is fairly carb heavy and light on protein, that is the first thing I would suggest changing.

Thank you for your response. I agree with your comments.
I'm planning to add follwoing items to my diet

1. Chicken- 1 serving a day
2. Protein poweder - 1 serving a day
3. Lintels - 1-2 cups
4. Fish - 1 serving

Do you think it would be sufficint. I don't eat meat,pork..etc.
