This might be a stupid question, but I've been wondering: All the articles that I read on the benefits of drinking lots of water suggest that you drink it throughout the day. I do drink alot of water, but it's all at the end of the day, after work until bed time. Do I get the same benefits this way?

no. why don't you drink during the day? so all day you are dehydrated and then you load up in the evening. there is no carrier in your system during the day to achieve your goal (water). water in the body assimilates protein transfers in the muscle for muscle gain. water also is the carrier for exchanging fat into the system from the muscle for weight loss.DRINK A GLASS EVERY HOUR LIKE A RELIGION.

Water is the most abundant and most important mineral in your body. By depriving yourself of water throughout the day, many of your metabolic functions are put in jeapordy. All the nutrients you take in during the day need water as a carrier. I would highly recommend keeping water around you ALL of the time. And, by not drinking water on a consistent basis, you will most likely suffer from dreaded water retention, water is the only effective natural diuretic. As a GENERAL guidline, assuming you are active, you should consume no less than 64 oz. of water daily. That is on the lower end, I would recommend drinking much more than that, but this is a good starting point.
