Does anyone know a good way to remove unsightly hair? I see these guys in these magazines and I wonder how do they get like this? I know of waxing, shaving, ect, anything else, maybe a web site that sells a specific product someone has used that really works well. Thanks! |

You might be shaving against the grain lewdog, this has happen to me. Nair is good but you cant leave it on to long or it will burn you. Also use the nair after showering or something, dont apply to your skin after you sweat or are dirty you will get a severe break out. When you use a razor on your legs, chest, back, ect the first few times you might get a rash, this will clear up after you begin to shave often. Also remember not to use a sharp fresh razor every time, but still not a dull one. I know all this from experience, I have been dealing with hair awhile. |

I used to get ingrown hairs on my legs that would look like huge gross pimples. So now when I wash my legs, I use a buf puf and SalAc, and Neutrogena BodyClear lotion afterwards and I have no problem. |

This is true Lumina I use an anti bacterial soap plus a loofah spoonge after I shave to wash. Also using witch hazel as an after shave works great, it shrinks the pores and stops ingrown hairs, PLUS it has a cool name..WITCH HAZEL! |

Nair can be tricky, too lonf, it will burn you, a good guide is to watch the hair after you apply the nair. You will see the gair curl up tightly, this si when you knwo its time to wipe awayFrank Rizzo |

hmmmm thats possible, which nair have you used? try the one in the white bottle instead of the pink, this worked better for my hair. i guess waxing is the best, but man that first time it hurts becasue the hair growth is so full. Ok i have had enough talk about hair....LOL |

Sometimes I do wax my legs, it actually doesn't hurt as bad as one might think. Just make sure your hair isn't toooo long otherwise you might faint from all the pulling. I do remember the epilady, I wonder how good it is and if they are still around. Sometimes with waxing, I'll miss a spot here or there and that gets annoying. |

i remember that thing, that in invention. My mother had one when i was younger and returned it after she tried it. I once put it to the hair on my arm and i felt it rip the hair out by the root, similar to waxing, but without the warmth.brett wier |

The other thing about chemical hair removers is that if you have a tan, they will cause it to fade. If you look at my pic, I know a little bit about shaving. ;) The trick with shaving is to make sure you always use a SHARP good quality razor. I would never use anything but a Gillette Mach III on my head and then only use the same blade no more then 3 times. Same goes for the rest of my body. The second trick is to not use shaving cream. Use a good quality cream rinse. Thats a trick I learned from a stripper. The cream rinse softens the hair and the skin making it easier to shave and less likely to become irratated and less chance of ingrown hairs. |

Has anybody tried that "NADS" stuff from that Austrailian chic? (besides Iceman :0) I think waxing in any form is the way to go. Debilitating cremes like Nair actually "melt" hair, and the smell is.....well...... Plus Nair leaves these little hair stubbs behind.- strange. Waxing pulls out the entire hair, from the root to the tip, so the effect lasts a lot longer. If y'all have the strength and endurance to be body builders, you can probably handle the pain of waxing. Maybe a couple of pre-beers might help. That's what I do! LOL :0) |

Beer before waxing??? I don't care how much beer you give me, I'll wax anything but the bikini area, that is entirely too painful! Is that area sensitive on men, too? Do guys even get hair there? Was that iceman on the nads infomercial??? lol Bretto, you're crazy! |

Dont now how to get rid of it, I am very hairy so I cant even imagine spending that much time to get rid of it. I am proud of it, all men in my family are hairy. When my kids were yonge they would'nt let me pick them up if I was not wearing a t shirt. Yea, that whole crotch-area thing. I understand completely Lumina. Even shaving, at least for a guy, can be a bad idea. The shaving itself isn't too bad. It's the little "needles" that jab into your skin folds as the hairs begin to grow back. It's like having your underwear full o' catus spines! As a guy, I just trim that area with scissors to "groom it up." That reminds me...I think tonight I'll "get my groom on" before I get my groove on! LOL :0) |

I have used NADS, liked it very much once I got the hang of it. The first couple times I used it, I didn't pull the skin tight enough and it looked like was beaten. Had so many bruises on my legs, but after that I loved it. Just haven't ordered any in awhile. I am going to try "Hair no More". If that doesn't work, I will go back to NADS because I am so sick of shaving.-------------- Lisa |

Hair removal is a horrible chore. I have mostly used the chemical variations and am not too keen on waxing and ripping it out by the roots. I wish tehre was something more permanent, I am very hairy on my chest and stomach and have thick patches on my back and I hate it. Hair on my arms legs and genitals and areas like that don't bother me but by back stomach and chest I wish I could get permanent results and if anyone has any easier ideas I am all ears, doing my back is a pain. |

I tried Nair For Men. It doesn't smell as bad as regular nair for women, but it didn't work for me. Regular nair burns my skin before it stays on long enough to take the hair off.
Shaving with a Mach 3 works best, but sometimes "Magic Shaving" cream "Razorless beard remover" works well, but it takes planning. If you use it within 48 hours of tanning, shaving or using another hair removal product, it will likely burn your skin. You should also not use it right after showering or using a loofa or anything that irritates your skin. It worked, but was a little of a hassle to have to plan when to use it. It comes in a powder form also, but the cream is more convenient since you don't need to mix it yourself. Wal-Mart sells it near their other mens shaving products and it only costs about $2.80 a tube. |

I don't pop into the men's forum often. And now I know what I'm missing. LOL!
The little bumps are from your skin not being used to the shaving. From time to time I let the bikini area grow out..I'm too embarrassed to go for the women's annual exam with it hairless LOL!! So when I shave it again, I get the bumps too. They will go away if you keep shaving on a daily basis. :) Nivea makes a nice lotion for after shaving that helps the bumps as well. They also make a nice shaving cream. Creme rinse does work good too..Itstd was right on that. I found out by accident once when I was out of shaving cream. I use the same stuff I put on my hair...Pantene ProV Deep Moisturizing Treatment. I also use the Gillette Mach III razor...best disposable I've found. Also, if it's in a spot that has a lot of friction from clothing, try a VERY light coat of solid anti-perspirant or baby powder...it will minimize the rubbing and reduce irritation. Don't let anyone kid you...waxing HURTS...especially in the groin area. :) But, you only have to do it once every 2 months or so. If you shave every day with a SHARP quality razor using a quality cream then put baby oil on while you are still wet just before drying off, then use that Nivea after shave lotion, you won't see any bumps after a couple of weeks, and you will have less and less to shave each time. Plus, your skin will be baby soft and very kissable! :p As a warning, if you do get an infected/ingrown hair, don't just ignore it. Get some tweezers and a needle and get it out so it can heal. My sister in law had her uterus infected by an infected hair in her groin area that she just let go thinking it was "just a hair". -------------- ~Jennifer http://www.gwindalyn.com If you dont stand for something, you will fall for anything. |

Guys don't be scare of waxing, evn girls :), I wax my body entirely except my arms, so I can tell you a little about it. It's not for a purpose but for myself, I get a lot of compliment on those legs everywhere I go.
For me waxing is the way to go, Nair is just like shaving so your hair will grow as fast, Only waxing can get rid of them completely. It will hurt only the first time because your hair is strong from growing the past years. The second time, there is almost no hurt, and you have to do it every 3 weeks. Not bad at all. For the bikini line!!! hahaha Yes it hurts, depend where you stop for your bikini line, it's like the armpits. So guys, go for it, it looks cool and trust me you will feel great after. Remember, the second time it doesn't hurt as much!!! |

Do you want to remove all hair or just unsightly excess hair. If the former you probably want to go with waxing. If the latter you can probably get away with just using a trimmer. I go to a salon about once every one to two months to get my body hair trimmed. It looks good, my girlfriend likes it and it doesn't hurt like with waxing. Not to regress to much, but I saw that some people were talking about ingrown hairs on their legs and such, I get them on my back and they are terrible. I don't know that it is all due to shaving though. Some are ingrown hairs, you know the huge monsters that grow and grow until they protrude through your shirt, but I also have the regular zits, and these aren't small, some are pretty good sized. Is something wrong with me, or is this normal. -------------- If I could give one piece of advice, it would be you\'re only on loan in this world, take advantage of the time in which you are here, tomorrow it may be time to go home and meet your Creator\" |

Ok, as for the ingrown hair, I don't have a lot to say except use that little brush (sorry I don't know what it's called in english). But no there's nothing wrong with you. Make sure your skin is rubbed often so your skin get softer, and you can wash with a lotion to clean your skin.
I have to ask if any of you guys started waxing or even shaving after reading these post!! If you're still affraid, don't worry ask...if you're questionning yourself about it, that means you want to do it!! Dayz |

I've heard of the laser hair removal and I understand it is permanent.
I'm also curious about the above posts; who's tried what and where, and I have one final question.... If I wax or otherwise manage to remove my chest and underarm hair, etc., am I going to look like a freak on the beach because I didn't take care of my leg hair? my partner has so much hair on his back chest arm legs uh everywhere its not funny, so i use the clippers all over his chest and back to get the hair short then use hair removal cream full strength for course hair. its easier and works better if you clip the hair first as its shorter, we tried waxing but for someone with such a large area of hair to remove i think it friggin hurt about half way.
