i had a friend with chest hair in grade 6 :).. and hers me at 20 still struggling to grow some stubble on my face. genetics plays a big part of it. but like its been pointed out, exercises that induce more testosterone release can also be factored in.

There's a few people in my high school who work out really seriously, and probably have taken a shitload of different supplements and such...and they also happen to be really hairy. Is there a connection between those things or is it just a coinsidence?

Too hard to say. Extra test(taking above normal levels) can have the side effect of extra hair.
This does not mean your friends are doing this. Some folks are just hairy, and wearing clothes you do not see this. But in gym attire, it is of course evident.

Once I began to do heavy compound movements, I.E. the squat and the deadlift I began to notice that my hair would grow slightly more. But not a lot to the point where it covered my whole body, but like I said noticeable. It's just the testosterone, theirs could be occuring naturally though some people are just like that you never know they don't have to be taking steroids or anything like that.
