Hi well i did my first workout on the free trainers program Wow i havent worked out in the last 2 years but a couple times in th last few weeks and that was only chest and arms any way i am so tired lol it took me 1 and a half hours ouch!!!!Any way about the hammer curls i just wanted to make sure i was doing them right on the explanation of them on this site it says to always have your thumb pointed upwards ? As in to the sky? so that your thumb is actually extended like a thumbs up salute and touching the weight or just curled in opposite of your fingers ....I tried to look at the pictures closely but could not tell. Anyway thanks!

Your hands should be in the neutral postition. This means that as long as your palms are in (facing your body) you're fine. If you stand relaxed with your hands at your sides, you palms are in. Keep your thumbs wrapped around the weight at all times. I can only just imagine trying to do heavy hammers with my thumbs pointed up in the air. The dumbbells would probably end up on my toes.....
