.....without much results, thought i'd try a program style format. So i have my fitness program all set up but wanted some input on how much weight i should begin with. Am doing weight loss/definition program - 3x/wk.

Whatever your comfortable with...just don't go all gung-ho and start lifting too heavy... try something out, if it's too light or heavy adjust accordingly...

Welcome to ft!

If you haven't lifted before, it will take you a few goes at it before you find your ideal weights. Don't worry too much about having it perfect right away, because great gains don't happen over night anyway. In no time, you will be in the groove and hopefully, won't stay at one weight too long. If you are in a gym or know someone who does lift. You can show them your program and they can try to size you up and give you some good starting weights, but I wouldn't put too much weight on that because I have lifted with some people that I thought could definitely lift more than they could and of course, the other way around as well.

Good luck! Hope this kinda helps.
