Hi everyone. I'm a newbie, and I have a couple of questions for y'all.
1) I'm doing the home program, because with my work schedule, it is MUCH easier for me to do my workouts at home. I have a slow metabolism, and as such, I'm on the plan that follows the slow metabolism. Is there anyone else that is on the same plan as I am? (Or is there anyone who HAS been on that one?) If so, how fast did you begin to see results?
2) How do you keep yourself motivated?
and:
3) How much weight should one expect to lose in a week? a month?
Thanks so much!

Not knowing your statistics it is hard to give you a real answer to your last question.
Question Number 2: knowing that I am training my body to be at optimum health, keeps me motivated, along with keeping a daily journal of how I train.
Question 1: You should start to see results within 5-7 days. Results like feeling more energy, maybe your clothes feeling looser, and better frame of mind. Those are just a few after starting out.
Highly recommended to measure yourself at different areas of your body and stay OFF the scales!

thanks - I'm not so much worried about the number on the scale, as I am about the number on the label. I am SOOOO aware of muscle weighing more than fat... so I'm cool with a higher number on the scales so long as that's for lean muscles...
Thanks for the tips!
One other question = if you have a second!
It says that I'm supposed to eat something like 3500 calories a day. How the heck am I supposed to lose weight eating that much?

Well, first off if you don't eat enough (the required amount to keep your metabolism functioning atoptimum level) your body will hang on to your fatty tissue to use as energy. Therefore by constantly feeding your body, not at breakfast, lunch and supper, but by eating 5x a day, 3 meals 2 snacks, you will be speeding up your metabolic rate. This will also help you burn more calories.
If you find that difficult, build it up slowly. rember to focus on good healthy food and avoid like the plague, processed foods.
Hope this helps.
