At first it was hard to eat for 1300 calories a day now I am having a hard time eating enough for my requirements. I always seem to have enough with 800 calories a day and I am full, full, full! I don't want my metabolism to decrease so I have to force myself to eat more and that is not fun. By the way I feel great. What is my problem?

Sory, I meant to say that it was hard to stay on 1300 calories I would always tend to go over. Now it is the opposite.

I have to ask how in the world you have enough energy on 800 cals a day. If you do even the least amount of training of any kind you are going to burn at least 250-300 cals....not even talking about any cardio. Maybe you micounted if you feel full after 800 cals I think you might have a medical problem. I eat 5-7 300-500 meals a day and still find the room to eat more if I let myself. I think that just by waking up and walking around doing normal avtivities you would die eating only 800, and 1300 for an active person is way to low. I really think you might want to see a doctor about it. It may be an eating disorder. Good luck and feel free to talk again about this.

I am limited as to my weight lifting. Lets say it would be a mild workout and cardio 3 times a week. I guess my metabolism is slow. Also I am a 48 year old woman. I guess thats why I don't require alot of food.

Do you have enough energy with 800-1300 calories per day ? If so, have good fats such as Omega-3 from fish, Flax Seed oil...
Try to avoid carbs after 6PM and you'll be able to eat more in the next morning.. A big a healthy breakfast is good for you!

I'm 21, and I lost about 50pounds in 6 months...that's to much (I think) so, be sure that you eat enough good fats/carbs/protein...then you'll have good energy & gains!

Maybe try to eat more energy dense foods - full of calories but not really filling (like many junk foods). Not that I am advocating junk foods, but maybe something similar.

Wow, that is a low calorie intake. How many times a day do you eat. If you spread your meals out to 5-6(if not already), you may be able to consume more calories and help your metabolism. Hope this helps.

This happened to me, too - after shooting for 1200 a day for weight loss (I'm small) I got to where I'd feel full after only eight or nine hundred calories a day. My protein intake was really suffering. I added a protein/multivitamin shake every day and a Luna bar, Balance bar, or something like that to get my calories up. Also kept an online food diary and if my calorie intake was below 12-1400 I'd go eat something. Eventually I got my appetite back. I know it's not fun, but osteoporosis, muscle loss, etc aren't fun either so do what you have to do to stay healthy. :)
