Just wandering if anyone has any complaints or comments on this protein powder. I've been using it for a while and it seems to be a good protein powder. Taste great, has 55g of protein, and is reasonably priced. One reason I thought it was good was because it says something about time released protein. I went to MDLABS.com to find out more info and they say:
"Whey protein, the king of all protein sources has one downfall; rapid absorption rate resulting in suboptimal nitrogen levels. By combining the proper ratios of whey, casein and egg, Pro Blend 55 is able to increase protein absorption time by regulating transit time of proteins through the intestinal tract. This process allows the body to maximize OGA!"
Do other protein powders have this, or is this a marketing scam? I'm thinking about switching to Optimum 100% whey because it's alot cheaper and I saw alot of post talking good about it. Thanks ya'll.

I've used HDT before... pretty decent product. Nice blended protein. Remember, though, that the 55 is from 2 scoops.
There is some truth to the "time-released" aspect, albeit a fancy name. Different proteins are absorbed differently, i.e., whey faster than egg. By using a blended protein as your daily (vs. post-work out, for example) is your best bet in staying in positive nitrogen balance.

Would it still be beneficial to use a 100% whey protein (optimum nutrition) as your daily even though its not a blended source of protein?
