A friend says shes having this issue:
Shes very petite and works out but when she is on the stair stepper she said her toes turn purple and sometimes the front of her chins do also. She said it feels numb. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Sometimes I would get a numbness in my toes when running or using the stairmaster. I was wearing a cheap pair of shoes. When I went to a better made shoe the numbness went away.

I used to get the problem and sometimes I do... but much milder like with sandysford . My friend who had the same problem suggested taking an aspirin before i work out. This actually helped me a lot. It eased ciculation oh but sometimes it still happens when I wear the wrong shoes.

Well lol I sometimes do another thing who makes the annoying numbness disappear completely; I take off my shoes and keep on going only wearing my socks!! Hmmmm I don't know if you want to do that but this really shows that the problem is caused by the shoes. As the other say, try changing shoes or even to untie a little the shoe laces can help!

it could be that your shoes are to tight but i recently broke my leg and my MD said that if you ever experiance something like you are experiancing then it could be a serious condition called compartment syndrome that requires a somewhat painfull operation.
