Hey. I'm John. I found this site cause one of my friends who works at the Y suggested it. My only question is why on a lean mass building program does the program call for 10-20 reps and 4 sets? All of the programs I've seen use few reps and heavy weight in 3 sets (sometimes 5 for some football training programs)...

Hi John,
These repetitions are for people who do regular exercises and are quite experienced. Beginners start with lesser no of repetitions. Moreover using heavy weights are for building greater muscle mass and not for losing fat (becoming leaner). You should not over-exercise which could lead to injuries.
