Hi ,I am 48 yrs old and use to work out regularly to stay fit ,but 4 yrs ago I started going on cruise's and have not been the same since...now thats not an excuse but..theres that but..I have just started going back to the gym,and my 1st day back was a tuff one,I am now on my 2nd week an feeling better.
My goal is to lose the now added weight and build some muscle back..I am at 187 lbs right now at 5ft 9..my goal weight is to be at 165 to 170..anyone have an idea on what to eat for this goal?
Let me say I have been on a fast food diet and love to eat out ..for the past 4 yrs..the excercise is tuff but I know how to do that ,my problem is the food side of it..everyone tells you how much weight to lift an reps..but you never get a good answer as to what you should take in on a daily basis..
Welcome to FT hawkeye. The best advice I can give you is to check out the grocery list for healthy eating in the Nutrition Forum, it's thumb tacked near the top. There is also one called "diet thread" that is worth a read. Choose your foods from this list and you can't go wrong. Spend some time ready over some of the posts and I'm sure you'll find all of the answers you need. Good luck with your goals.
