Been a member for a little while, but life kind of got complicated, and I'm just now getting started on my personal fitness goals and such.

My name's Jim, I'm 23 years old, live in Texas, and have been married less than a year. My main goals are losing some weight, and toning and firming, though I'm hoping to put on a little more muscle as I progress.

Speaking of which, if anyone has any helpful suggestions for eating healthier, and which types of exercises are best for the abdominal region (which is one of those that I think I need the most work on) I would be eternally grateful

Welcome LiquidValentine. First off, please fill out your profile so others will no more about you and your goals.
You can find a good ab routine to work in with your regular training right here on Freetrainers.
Clik on exercise program and fill in the blanks, you will then be given a good routine.
Hope this helps.

I find an easy way to eat healthier instead of going on a diet is to think when you're going to eat something
"is there another option?" eg eating nuts instead of crisps or pasta instead of pizza so you don't feel you're denying yourself something, just going for a better alternative
