Welcome, Bill. You indicated that you have been training for years. Could you give us a little more detail. I have only been training for about 14 months this time, with an almost 20 year layoff (high school/army) I am sure that you will be a real asset to this community.

Again, Welcome

Thank you Eagle. I started as a teenager working out for football and just never stopped. I never developed the size I always wanted but realized my body prefered the lean musular look so that what I have trained for and mainted for years. I have worked through numbers of injuries and always seeked to learn and share anything I learned. I'm hoping I can do that here Learn and Share1

I also started as a teenager working out for football. I was pretty good at it and enjoyed it, but when we lost in the state playoffs my senior year, I never really lifted again. I went to basic training (Army-Nat'l Guard) the summer after high school and had no trouble, but still didn't lift.

Last July, a family friend died and he was 61 years old and over 300lbs. I looked in the mirror and said, you are what Uncle Rowdy was at 38, a former athlete who is fat at 5'11" and 250lbs. I started looking and found a book called "Body for Life" and I accepted there 12 week challenge. I have since completed 3 challenges and have lost over 80lbs of fat and gained over 20lbs of muscle. I am hooked, but still have a "few" things to learn. I would like to get rid of the last of my belly and find my abs. I jokingly say I have traded in my keg for a six pack, but I am just short of that six pack. Working on it.

Now you have some history on me. I look forward to corresponding with you in the future.
