Hello all, I am new here to ft intending to lose excess weight and excess fat. I have got my first set of exercises for the first week. I am quite excited about it but I have a doubt. I have no idea as to what amount of weight or what proportion that I should use. If you could give me a idea it would be fine.

P.S. I am 22, Male and I go to Grad School.

welcome to freetrainers.com. I've always heard that you need to use enough weight so that one your last rep, you can barely do it. As a beginner, however, you may want to start lower and get the good form down first.

good luck.

Thank you tarab21.

As you say, I am not able to use lot of weights so I have just started out with a little. I need to loose 30-35 pounds in 5 months. Is it possible if I follow this pattern of exercise and also I am 22 years old and I am 5 ft 6 in. Can I by some way increase my height too?

Thank you.
