I'm new to the list and have a question about running and weight training. Whenever I train legs it's always detrimental to running, ie; my legs are sore when I try to run, and in turn I can't run very far/efficiently. Running is my main source of cardio and I vary from time to time with what I do more of, run v. lift. So I was just wondering what type of leg workout I should do, and how frequently, without my running suffering, literally.
Thanks for any help!!

First off, you should not run on leg day. If you must, then there should be some time in between (i.e. run in the morning then train legs in the afternoon).

What is your training emphasis? If they are legs, then you can train 2-3 days per week, with at least 1 or 2 days in between. I would not recommend more as your running will be counterproductive, if that is your emphasis.

Anyway, good luck!
