Not really "new"... but I am a "newbie"... starting over again from scratch with new vigor. I'm a mother of 4 children (not including husband), and my excuse has always been "I don't have the time". I don't either, however I don't have the time to be sick or worse either, so I have to MAKE the time to do something to take care of myself. I am currently 200lbs and 5'9". It seems my largest hurdle food wise is keeping my fats down, I can't seem to get enough protiens (sp?) without going way over on my fat intake. Fustrating, it was one of the things that made me quit the program last time.
I'm still plugging away though, I really want to find myself again.

mymy welcome or welcome back. It matters not . Glad you are here. You can probably best help yourself by using the fit buddy search feature on this websight and looking up many answers. Right now in the "specific diets and nutrition" board there is a topic like body builders grocery list. Its very informative for weight losers or people trying to tweak in the perfect diet. Start slowly changing your diet and exercise program. You didn't get to this point in a day and you can't get where you want to in a day either. Plug away slowly , you can do it.

That was a helpful topic, and I am slowly trying to implement changes in how I buy food and cook it not just for me but for my family. Change has got to go slowly otherwise I'll be facing a lot of resistance on the home front.

Hi mymy
Try to slowly change the way of eating at home and make healthy food. Include more veggies, more lean meat and less carbs (mix the veggies with the carbs so the kids wont notice! ;o) No more sodas and fresh fruit (and jelly!) as dessert.
Then start walking more, play with the kids, go out swimming etc
You see, small changings that'll give you huge results!
